Watering Notes Once established, German-Bearded Iris shouldn't need additional water unless extreme weather conditions exist. Over-watering is a common problem. Well-drained soils help prevent rhysome rot and disease.
Fertilize Notes Fertilize with bonemeal, or superphosphate in early spring and about 1 month after blooming.
Prune Notes Remove spent flowers if desired. Remove finished bloom stalk to the base. When plants get floppy in mid-summer, they can be cut to half their height.
