Watering Notes Once established, German-Bearded Iris shouldn't need additional water unless extreme weather conditions exist. Over-watering is a common problem. Well-drained soils help prevent rhysome rot and disease.
Fertilize Notes Fertilize with bonemeal, or superphosphate in early spring and about 1 month after blooming.
Prune Notes Deadhead as needed. They can be cut back to 8" in mid summer.
